San-ei Kraft Co., Ltd. was established in 2002 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of
San-ei Kogyo Co., Ltd.
On behalf of the owners, the company manages about 2,000 hectares of forest
land owned by San-ei Kogyo Co., Ltd. and  others.
These forests are located across various regions, including Kaneyama Town,
Shinjo City, Mamurogawa Town, Funagata Town, Mogami Town, Tozawa Village,
Ohkura Village, and Sakegawa Village in the Mogami district of Yamagata
Prefecture, as well as Tsuruoka City in the Shonai region of Yamagata and
Murakami City in Niigata Prefecture.
Under long- and short-term management plans, San-ei Kraft carries out
silviculture activities such as afforestation, weeding, cleaning, and thinning.
It also handles the production and sale of logs from matured Japanese cedar
(Sugi).
Additionally, for about the past 10 years, the company has  been engaged in the

production and sale of firewood for fireplaces.

「 Fireplace Firewood Production and Sales 」

Since 2012, we have utilized broad-leaved trees, such as Oak,harvested from the
deciduous forests that make up half of our managed land to produce and sale of
firewood for fireplaces.
Initially, our primary customers were located in Yamagata and the neighboring
Miyagi Prefecture.
However, since our firewood was selected as an official gift for Kaneyama Town's "Furusato Nozei (Hometown Tax Donation Program)", our customer base has
expanded nationwide from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south.

In June 2023, a large-scale wood processor arrived from   overseas.
This all-in-one machine features a log loading deck, a hydraulic chainsaw, a 30-
ton hydraulic splitter, and a conveyor belt to transport the finished firewood.
While our long-serving TimberWolf splitter is still in active use, this new machine
allows a single operator to handle everything  from log feeding to cutting.
We believe this will be a powerful asset in delivering high-quality firewood at
reasonable prices.

「 Social Contribution: "Kizuna-no-Mori" (Forest of Bonds) 」

As part of our community contribution efforts, we signed the " Kaneyama Kizuna-
no-Mori Agreement" in 2010 with Shonai Bank, Ltd. and FUJIFILM BI Yamagata
Co., Ltd. (formerly Yamagata  Xerox Co., Ltd.), with Yamagata Prefecture acting as
the mediator.
Together with these partners, we promote activities such as creating rich green
environments and fostering exchange between urban and mountain communities
within our managed forests.
This agreement, which is renewed every five years, is now in  its third term.
Trees planted in the inaugural year have already grown taller than a person.

「 Topics 」

February 20, 2022: To improve communication between our office and forestry
sites located  outside cellular range, we ordered SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet
system, which arrived from Los Angeles about a week ago.
We plan to test it at a forest site early next week. In a preliminary test at the
office parking lot,  internet browsing was seamless, and LINE voice calls had no
perceptible time lag.
February 21, 2022: We tested the system at a site with weak cellular signal,
surrounded by dense cedar forests.
After placing the antenna on the car roof and waiting about 10 minutes, the  appshowed download speeds of 178 Mbps and upload speeds of 19 Mbps.
The LINE video call with the office was extremely clear in both audio and  video-
surpassing our expectations.
